Hello, (my first post.) Just bought a used Stevens model 86C. Stamped on barrel: Stevens Savage Arms Corporation Chicopee Falls, MASS, U.S.A.22 SHORT, LONG, OR LONG RIFLE Model 86C There is no serial number, as was noted on the bill of sale. Rifle is in good shape, nice aged finish, no rust. Bolt is smooth, bore is clean, shoots better than my aging eyesight can see! Can anyone out there give me a clue of its' year of manufacture?
